Flight rules to the United Kingdom

Dear passengers,

We inform you about the new entry rules for the United Kingdom, which came into force on February 15, 2021.

To travel to the United Kingdom, passengers must meet the following conditions:

1. Present a negative test result before the flight (which must be taken within 3 days prior to the flight) in English.

All passengers entering the United Kingdom must take a COVID-19 PCR test within three days prior to arrival. According to information on the www.gov.uk website, the following types of tests are accepted: RT PCR, RT LAMP, and a lateral flow antigen test. Details can be found by accessing the link.

During check-in for each flight, all passengers, except children under 11 years old, must present a negative test result. The test result must be presented in the original in English, French, or Spanish; translated tests will not be accepted.

The test result must contain the following information:

  • passenger's first and last name corresponding to the travel documents
  • passenger's date of birth or age
  • test result
  • test date
  • name and contact details of the laboratory where the test was performed
  • test name

If the test result does not contain all the above information or the PCR test result is missing, the passenger will be denied boarding. The test result can be presented on paper or in electronic format; when presenting the result in electronic form, the passenger must provide their electronic device with the necessary charge level.

2. Advance booking for testing upon arrival in the United Kingdom on days 2 and 8. The booking confirmation regarding testing must be indicated in the Passenger Locator Form.

3. Online completion of the Passenger Locator Form (starting 48 hours before the flight date or on the day of the flight at the latest). After completing the form, you will receive a confirmation email with a QR code that you will need to present at check-in/boarding and upon arrival in London. The confirmation can be presented via a printed copy or on your phone.

4. Passengers who have been in or transited through a country that is a red zone for the United Kingdom in the last 10 days must self-isolate at a hotel, which is booked individually at the passengers' expense. The booking confirmation must be indicated in the Passenger Locator Form.

  • The list of red zones can be found here
  • Hotel reservations can be made here.

5. Upon arrival, the passenger must self-isolate for 10 days.

6. It is a mandatory requirement to wear a mask on public transport in the United Kingdom. Failure to comply with the rules mentioned above is considered an offense that entails a fine of up to £10,000 or imprisonment.
