Travel requirements for the Netherlands: mandatory negative COVID-19 test and recommendation for 10-day self-isolation
As of 29 December 2020, at 00:01, the Netherlands requires all persons travelling by air to the Kingdom of the Netherlands to present a mandatory negative COVID-19 test.
All persons travelling to the Netherlands are advised to self-isolate for a period of 10 days. The negative test required for boarding does not replace the period of self-isolation upon arrival in the Netherlands. The Dutch Government made this decision on 24 December 2020.
Airlines operating flights to the Netherlands from high-risk areas have been instructed by the Dutch authorities to check that all passengers have a negative PCR test result before boarding.
The test must be taken no more than 72 hours before the scheduled arrival in the Netherlands. Passengers who do not have a negative COVID-19 test result will not be allowed to board the flight.
