Dear passengers,
Please be informed about the new entry requirements for Israel, which will come into effect on 23 January 2021:
1. All passengers, regardless of age, who have been outside Israel during the previous 72 hours must present one of the following documents at check-in for the Chisinau – Tel Aviv flight:
a. A negative COVID-19 PCR test result taken no more than 72 hours before the scheduled boarding time of the Chisinau – Tel Aviv flight. The test result must contain the following information:
- testing method: PCR / RT-PCR / Q-PCR;
- passenger's personal details: first name / last name; identification number or passport number;
- date of the test.
Passengers transiting through Ben Gurion Airport must present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result taken no more than 72 hours before the scheduled boarding time of the Chisinau – Tel Aviv flight. The transit period in Tel Aviv must not exceed 24 hours.
b. A valid vaccination certificate issued by Israel or confirmation of recovery from a confirmed illness issued by the Israeli authorities:
- the format of the document confirming recovery from a confirmed illness will be published on the official website of the Israeli Ministry of Health in the coming days;
- a vaccination certificate issued by the Israeli Ministry of Health, provided that the second dose of the vaccine was administered at least seven days before departure;
- a special permit issued by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
2. Passengers who fail to present one of the documents listed in point 1 above will not be permitted to fly.
3. When completing the electronic health declaration, passengers must indicate that they have one of the documents specified in point 1.
The new requirements are in addition to the existing requirements, namely:
a. All passengers travelling to Israel must complete the Clearance Application at least 24 hours before the flight.
b. All passengers entering Israel who have been in South Africa, Zambia, the United Arab Emirates or Brazil during the previous 14 days will be required to undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine in state quarantine facilities.
c. All passengers arriving in Israel from countries not listed in point b above (Israeli citizens and residents, as well as foreign nationals) must undergo mandatory quarantine at home or in another location in accordance with Section 20 of the Public Health Ordinance of 1940, instead of quarantine in state quarantine facilities, subject to the following conditions:
The passenger must take a COVID-19 PCR test:
- at the airport immediately upon arrival in Israel;
- at a state quarantine facility if the passenger began quarantine there upon arrival in Israel and wishes to change the quarantine location.
Before travelling to the place of self-isolation, the passenger must provide a written commitment to take another COVID-19 PCR test on the ninth day of self-isolation.
d. As the Republic of Moldova is considered a “red zone”, passengers travelling to Israel will be required to undergo self-isolation and must therefore complete the Isolation Form. Passengers travelling from Israel to Moldova are also required to complete the form online.
Important! Foreign nationals may enter Israel only with a special permit issued by the Population and Immigration Authority of Israel.
